The Georgian American Women's Association Inc. (GAWA) works to preserve cultural heritage, empower Georgian women, and promote gender equality by providing leadership development and legal advocacy for immigrant women, and cultural education programs for Georgian-American youth in diaspora communities.

The GAWA of the City of New York (GAWA NYC) works to eliminate racism, empower women and stand up for social justice by providing leadership and advocacy training for young women, and after school programming for elementary and middle school students in culturally diverse communities.
